Dr.Riva Tims is living the Majestic Life as a pastor, for more than fifteen years, a mother, motivational speaker, and an entrepreneur. Dr. Riva’s inner beauty, gentle spirit and passion for Jesus are an inspiration to those who want to know Him. Through prayer, patience and perseverance, Dr. Riva is blazing a trail for God’s kingdom and is fulfilling her destiny.

The Maryland native was raised in a Christian home with her identical twin sister, Rená. Excelling in her leadership roles in her church in Maryland, Dr. Riva was elevated through the levels of ordination as a deacon, minister, and elder and eventually she was ordained a pastor. Dr. Riva received her earned Doctorate Degree in Theology from Christian Bible Institute while simultaneously receiving an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from St. Thomas Christian University. Dr. Riva has a deep passion for needy and hurting people, out of which a mission for outreach and evangelism evolved. She is the C.E.O. and founder of Majestic Life Institute (MLI). MLI was designed to enhance individuals by delivering quality resources: spiritual, psychological, educational, financial, and physiological. While doing the work of the ministry through MLI, possibly her greatest challenge came when God called her to start a new work after surviving a devastating transition in her life. With much prayer and counseling, Dr. Riva accepted the call and in September 2009, Majestic Life Ministries opened its doors as a local church.

The mission of Majestic Life is to minister, motivate, and mentor members to mature in Christ and maximize their gifts in Him to live the Majestic Life! She is committed to training leaders by hands on mentoring and cultivating. She is also dedicated to the local community through many evangelistic outreach programs.

With humility and generosity of spirit, Dr. Riva helps God’s children to lead productive purposeful lives. Dr. Riva is the Host of the “Glory of Gospel” Radio Program on 94.5 FM, and she has her own health and wellness company. Dr. Riva was a Gospel Now Magazine 2010 People’s Choice Award nominee; she received the National Association of Professional Women Woman of the Year Award 2010/2011 and in 2012 Yolanda Adams presented Dr. Riva with the Lady of the Year Award. Dr. Riva’s book When It All Falls Apart was released in March 2012 and her CD project single “Incredible God” released August 2014 on her record label Zion Records. Her book When it All Comes Together will be available Fall 2015 through Charisma Publishing.

Dr. Riva has had the prestige honor of being recognized as a sought after Speaker, MC and Conference host. Dr. Riva has made various national television appearances on Life Today with James and Betty Robinson, The 700 Club, TBN and The Joni Lamb Show to name a few. Dr. Riva has also ministered at the acclaimed Tom Joyner Family Reunion Gospel Explosion the last three consecutive years. Dr. Riva ministers to thousands of women through her own nationally recognized Women’s Conference “Woman at the Well” in addition to sharing platforms across the nation for other women’s conferences.

Dr. Riva openly expresses her greatest joy in life is being a mother of love and excellence for her four children. She devotes most of her spare time to the special needs of her son and children like him born with cerebral palsy. In her quiet moments she enjoys reading, performing arts, history and spending quality time with her children.

Pastor Riva has diligently served in ministry for most of her adult life. Even though she experienced a major personal transition in the midst, Pastor Riva continued to feel the powerful call of God drawing her to work in ministry for Him. Being obedient to His call, Pastor Riva led our first monthly Majestic Life Institute service at Orlando’s Crown Plaza Hotel in January 2009.

In April 2009, Pastor Riva had a great sense of urgency that God was mandating us to find a facility, so Majestic Life Institute would be properly equipped to offer all the outreach resources she had envisioned. Meanwhile, there were many challenges that the ministry faced. The vision far exceeded the ministry bank balance of 700 dollars. Then the questions began to surface, “How are we going to pay for a building?” In order to start and maintain an effective ministry, she further realized all of the enormous working difficulties and taxing sacrifice involved. Yet steadfast obedience to the Lord was and yet is Pastor Riva’s utmost importance.

…”But God!”

In June 2009, Pastor Riva conversed with Pastor Christine Martin and she offered the use of their church, Ultimate Life Church, for Sunday evenings. On July 12, 2009, we held our first Sunday evening service. Subsequently in August 2009, Pastors Dave and Christine Martin informed Pastor Riva, that God was in the process of transitioning them from being a local ministry into an international ministry.

After extended discussions and negotiations in September 2009, Majestic Life agreed to purchase all of Ultimate Life’s sound equipment, chairs, pulpit podium, office furniture, as well as decorations, for over $100,000 over a two-year period. During this time Pastor Riva worked in a secular capacity and chose not to receive a salary from the church to ensure all the church’s financial obligations were met. Then upon officially assuming the lease, we thereby began Majestic Life Ministries. Believing earnestly, it was nothing short of a miracle, when the Lord allowed our obligations to Ultimate Life Church to be paid-in-full within the agreed time frame. And only through unwavering faith in God’s mighty hand was all of this accomplished!

Our first Sunday morning service as Majestic Life Ministries was September 6, 2009. A month later, we held our first official “Commemorating The Beginning” conference on October 9-11, 2009. Majestic Life marveled wondrously at God’s awesome power to orchestrate everything. And at years end, we held our first New Year’s Eve Service on December 31, 2009 to a packed house. Pastor Riva taught a powerful message titled, “Recover All!”

In 2011, Pastor Riva taught a message about the 
5 spiritual crowns. During this time, the Lord gave her a vision of a new logo for the ministry. Pastor created the new logo based on that vision. Conferring with Majestic Life’s Leadership Team, a new mission statement was also developed: “Our purpose is to Minister, Motivate and Mentor our members to Mature in Christ and Maximize our gifts to live the Majestic Life!” Each of the 5 crowns represents the 5 M’s.

Although Majestic Life has supported numerous programs and outreaches, one of the goals of this ministry is not to have an overwhelming calendar just for the sake of having programs. We are always mindful of families and endeavor to maintain a balanced ministry. Striving to ensure also that we are not simply facilitating man’s agenda, but desire all of our members to fully develop and be all that God has called them to be and to live a Majestic Life!

During 2013 we saw tremendous growth to the point that we would have to close the parking lot because we could not accommodate the influx of cars. As we looked for buildings God kept bringing us back to 821 S. Kirkman Road which was way over our budget. There was a local ministry still occupying the space so we began to look at other buildings until we got word that the property was actually foreclosed and banked owned.

To keep this in perspective, we were leaving a facility that had 3 spaces: a 10,000 sq ft main sanctuary facility, a 5,000 sq ft youth facility and event center, and a 3,000 sq ft children’s church. Our new facility had a 22,000 sq ft main sanctuary facility, 14,000 sq ft youth and children’s church facility and over 15 acres of land. This was truly “100 Fold Favor”. We were witnessing miracles.

The first miracle was that we received approval for financing as such a young ministry without denominational backing. However, because our financial records were impeccable we received financing at a very good interest rate and we got the keys to occupy the building in October 2013 but did not close until December of that same year. This afforded us the opportunity to possess the building while still fundraising for the down payment. We officially moved into the new facility November 2013.During this time, there was an incredible amount of work as we had a lot of painting, moving, and repairs to do. Majestic Life volunteers showed up in great numbers to get the work done. During October through December we held services in the smaller youth building while we purchased sound equipment for the larger sanctuary. Our goal was to move into the larger sanctuary building by March 2014; however, on New Year’s Eve Pastor Riva informed the staff that we would hold services in the main sanctuary and to rent chairs. Thank God our Pastor hears from the Holy Spirit because our New Year’s Eve Service had over a 1,000 people in attendance. We remained in the main sanctuary building ever since.

Another miracle that took place in 2013 is that our ministry is paying less for our mortgage than we were paying in rent at our former location. Pastor Riva began this blessed ministry based on God’s Word. You will often hear her relate that this ministry is not based upon one person, but we are one body. So she is fully committed to the mandate God has given her to grow the sheep and develop leaders.

Each year the Lord gives a Word to Pastor Riva to release to Majestic Life Ministries for the New Year. Below is a summary of the prophetic mandates over the past 5 year. Each year we were amazed at the accuracy of the word for that year.

Indeed, the Lord God of heaven and earth, through Christ Jesus our Savior, has allowed Majestic Life Ministries to accomplish a tremendous amount of ministry work in a very short period of time!
